Santa Directed Draw

Have I ever mentioned how much I LOVE doing directed drawing with my kiddos? With all the different artistic ability levels, they always turn out so darn cute!

Merry CHRISTmas! :o)

Random Updates

Here's a peek at a few things we've been up to...

Dog's Colorful Day
SUCH a fun story! The kids LOVED sequencing, numbering, and coloring his spots as we reread it.

Hands & Feet Rudolph
One of my absolute favorite projects all year. They just turn out so darn cute!

Snowmen at Christmas
This story is about what the snowmen do at night while we're sleeping to prepare for Christmas. The kids brainstormed and wrote about different things they think the snowmen do at night. We then, of course, had to do a fun pinterest inspired craft to go along with our writing prompt (found here and here).
...drive tractors

...sleep with me

...go to the barn

...go to the park

...play football

...go to the school

...look at the snowflakes

...kick balls

...went to a party

...fly around

...went to a party

...come alive and push the snow on the grass

It's hard to tell, but we used pipecleaners for the arms since crayon wouldn't show up on the black paper. I thought about having them arms out of construction paper, but we would have lost many snowman fingers in the process! Naturally, some kids followed directions better than others...their scarves were supposed to have a pattern on them and the snowflakes were only supposed to have dots of glitter glue in the center of them. Still, they turned out great, and I will do this again!
