Four Groovy Buttons

Ok, how much do you all just love Pete the Cat? My kinders adore him, and the new book is fantastic (Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons)! To go along with the story we first did this activity from Learning with Mrs. Parker. Some of our 4th grade friends came to help us that day; all the kids did such a great job! Even the ones who typically struggle with math concepts were able to do the subtraction word problems; I was so proud!

Then, of course, we needed a fun craft to go along with it. Here's what I came up with, and I'm pretty proud of it. They turned out so cute! (One instance where all pieces were precut; I don't typically do that, but we only had 30 mins to complete the project)

OH! I am so pleased that your students used the subtraction worksheet I created to go with Pete! It is such an honor to see it being used by others. :)
Made my day!

Just wondering. Do you sell the pattern for your Pete the Cat with the buttons. I want to do a math board using numbers 1-5 and your activity would be perfect! Thanks!

I don't really have a pattern for the art project. I drew it all by hand and cut them out.
